Memory Upgrade on a T43P

Hi,

Does anyone know if the Lenovo Thinkpad T43P will take more than 2gb of memory? I'm looking to upgrade mine from 1gb, all the manufacturer websites say it's maximum is 2gb, but sometimes they lie to us customers!

If possible I'd like to put a pair of 2gb sticks in it... but didn't want to shell out the £££ when I'm not completly sure it'll work.

Anyone else tried it? Or is the 2gb limit a hardware limit?

It is indeed a hard hardware limit.

Thanks! Just 2gb it is...

I was harking back to and old Dell Latitude I had, everywhere said it would only accept 512mb memory but it would quite happily run with 2 x 512mb sticks in it.
