And it's 15.4" only. I truly hope we will see a 4:3 14.1" T61p.

I am more than ok with a 15.4" screen. In fact, that's what I want... :) The only thing I would like to see is a 7k200 200 GB hard disk. *That* would be sweet! :D

But, the US Website still reads nothing about T61P. They are waiting for something,i guess, maybe the opportunity.

Me too.
800 Mhz RAM and Blu-Ray would be nice, but I can add those later. I could add the 7K200 later too (and probably for less money than I expect Lenovo to charge) but with more hassle.

Lenovo Direct will also offter the T7700 and 4 year ThinkPad Protection, I bet.

I am not too fussed about Blu-Ray. As it happens, I use my T42p without a CD/DVD drive 99.9% of the time and I am fine with that (I use a 2nd hard drive instead).

As for the 800 MHz RAM, I am wondering how much of a speed up one would get. Any benchmarks on that?

Most possible indeed, though I extra disk space is a must for one what I want to do with that laptop, so... :)

Prices in Norway

#12 Post by larsv » Sat Jun 09, 2007 10:41 am

Norway is not part of the EU and keeps high customs tariffs, so prices in Norway are extremely high. Going across the border to Sweden (which is still considered high in cost of living), many prices drop by 40-50%.

Well that's an education, I guess I just assumed Norway was part of the EU. Sorry for being ignorant.
