I'm asking $1050 for the laptop listed below. I'd strongly prefer to deal in person with someone in the NYC area (I live in manhattan, phd student at Columbia University). I thought I wanted this, but decided I could wait to upgrade my T42p (and it's proven too difficult to go from 1600x1200 to 1400x1050, some of the ways I got used to working depend on that extra 150 pixels in heights )

The laptop is in perfect working order (looks great to me), though as I'm paranoid myself about these things, it's another reason i prefer to deal locally, as buyer can examine the merchandise up front.

I'll give the serial # to serious people.

please post snaps of the model too. I want to see snap of keyboard ( in opened condition ) , snap of right hand side where DVD rom is located & left hand side where ethernet , IEEE ports are located + snap of base and snap of TFT .

You should inquire at your local IBM/Lenovo office whether the warranty is valid in India if this is important to you. The problem of customs duties and local taxes may also arise, in addition to the shipping. I'd try to get this kind of information together before making the transaction in order to avoid possibly unpleasant surprises.
