power up issue, intermittent problem

#1 Post by yourself » Sat Jun 09, 2007 12:23 pm

Hi all,

I am having intermittent problems starting up and can't really pin down the problem.

Either when I shutdown or hibernate my T43, it won't restart. Not unless I fiddle with the power supply in and out of the port on the laptop, and a combination of taking in and out the battery as well.

Could this be a battery problem or a motherboard problem? everytime I disconnect the battery or the power supply and press the power button the battery LED flickers then nothing again, until the combination works again, and I can startup.

When I have startup issues, the only way I can startup is to have the battery disconnected and the power supply plugged in before it will power on.

This gets very annoying as you can probably tell. :)

any ideas guys?
