Hey all, i joined here yesterday, and found this part today, its a great forum, and really helpful.
Right now, my Thinkpad is not being used, but i've got a question about it.
ATM, its running a slipstreamed Windows XP [slipstreamed with nLite], a 20gb HDD, and the works.
i was thinking of going back to windows 2000 on it, as windows XP runs insanely slow, especially during boot. my only problem is that when i did have windows 2000 on it at first, the screen resolution was stuck at 600x800, and the dpi was way off and hard to read. i was also unable to change it to 1024x768, which is what the screen supports. is there a fix for this? i tried looking for drivers, but none that i found would work.
in XP, it displays perfectly at 1024x768 at 60hz, which is the max.
i also noticed that when running it at 1280x1024 the screen scrolls around, why doesn't it just squeeze on it and adjust the dpi?

It really should not be a problem. You can download the Windows 2000 drivers from the following page. You should install the Video Driver and Windows Install Supplements. Be sure and follow the installation instructions carefully - this is important!

alright, as soon as i either get a power adapter or a new battery [or both >.<] i'll give it a shot...i think from what i tried a while ago what happened was that the new driver just refused to install. it would go through the process, but then after restarted, it was still the old driver.
