X31 Shuts down During SP2 and USB Doesn't Work

#1 Post by WozniakMac » Sun Jun 10, 2007 3:43 pm

1) I have an IBM X31 and it is having a problem installing Windows SP2. Basically, it starts the installation, but then my computer shuts down after about 1 minute. It also did it a couple times when I was installing some software through ThinkVantage.

2) Second problem I am having is that the laptops USB ports don't work. Whenever I plug something into either of the two ports, it dings showing it has recognized there is a device plugged in, and the optical light on the mouse lights up, but nothing works.

If anyone could please help me, I would be very appreciative. Thank you.
