Lenovo making any plans for a T6x/T4x tablet?

Is Lenovo making any plans for a T6x/T4x tablet (similar to the X series)?

I may be in the market to buy a new thinkpad in the coming 12 months. I've had a great experience with my T41, and would like my next laptop to be a tablet. Here's to hoping that Lenovo thinks there's a legit market for such a thing.

I don't think so lenovo would, they already have one series reserved for tablets, two would not be such a good idea.

For me, an X-series laptop is too small, namely because the monitor is too small.

I like this idea. A larger screen helps a lot when you need to write a lot of codes, and the tablet makes it more comfortable when reading PDF documents.
A 14" SXGA+ Tablet will be a good choice I think.

Certainly No. But it won't be a good idea if they start offering X and T series tablets at the same time.

I wouldn't think there would be enough potential sales to offer tablets in both lines.

Right. And from a customer's perspective, if I need a tablet computer, I most likely don't need the power and screen size of a T. I would go for the lighter and smaller X-series.

for what it's worth, tablets are available in T-related sizes from other laptop/notebook creators.
