Here is a link to the new video.

There is no talking on my part this time, since I apparently bored a LOT of people. HOWEVER, please listen to the lyrics of the song playing in the background....

Thanks again.

By the way, since you said that it's for work, does that mean you have to give it back? How could you bear that? :)

The lyrics are also in the description of the video:
Music by ELO - Yours Truly, 2095

2095, 2095, 2095, 2095
I love you, sincerely
Yours truly, yours truly...

I sent a message to another time
But as the days unwind, this I just can't believe
I sent a note across another plane
Maybe it's all a game, but this I just can't conceive.

Can you hear me?

I drive the very latest hovercar
I don't know where you are
But I miss you so much till then
I met someone who looks a lot like you
She does the things you do
But she is an IBM.

2095, 2095, 2095, 2095
I love you, sincerely
Yours truly, yours truly...

She's only programmed to be very nice
But she's as cold as ice
Whenever I get too near
She tells me that she likes me very much
But when I try to touch
She makes it all too clear.

She is the latest in technology
Almost mythology
But she has a heart stone
She has an I.Q. of 1001
She has a jumpsuit on
And she's also a telephone.

2095, 2095, 2095, 2095
I love you, sincerely
Yours truly, yours truly...

CHORUS:
Is that what you want? (Is it what you want?)
Is it what you really want? (Is it what you really want?)
Is that what you want? (Is it what you want?)
Is it what you really want?

I realize that it must seem so strange
That time has rearranged
But time has the final word
She knows I think of you, she reads my mind
She tries to be unkind
She knows nothing of our world

Although her memory banks overflow
No one would ever know
For all she says: "Is that what you want?"
Maybe one day I'll feel her cold embrace
And kiss her interface
'Til then, I'll leave her alone.

I love you, sincerely
Yours truly, yours truly...

REPEAT CHORUS:

"Is that what you want?" (more)

Ah yes, christopher_wolf's sig...

I never actually heard the song before and I thought it was pretty cool in your video. The cuts and fades with the music was very well done. Kudos! 8)

Yep, i was wondering if anyone would remember who had it. I hadn't actually heard the song before the night that I made the video. I was thinking of a song to use, and had a couple of interesting choices, when all of a sudden I remembered Chris' signature. I can't believe that I didn't check it out before...

I haven't checked out the slide shows yet, but I saw your original video. I hope I am that excited when I finally get my T61.

I was wondering what your thoughts are on the 5400 HD. I am in the order queue with the funky ship date and am starting to think I should just get a topseller model from a retailer.

My main concerns over what I ordered vs the topseller model that you have are 2.2 vs 2.0 processor, 7200 HD vs 5400 HD, Thinkpad wireless vs Intel wireless and integrated camera vs no camera.

I can live w/o the camera. Should I be concerned that there would be a noticeable difference in performance? There isn't that much difference in the processor speed. I guess I could always install a 7200 HD (not sure how hard that is though). Are you happy with the Intel wireless?

Kind of hard to switch because with the Memorial Day sale my configuration is almost $200 less than the topseller model.

Thanks for your time

wow....tough choice. Here is how I look at it...if you are going to spend $2k on a Thinkpad...you might as well get it the way that you want it...why settle? If it takes a little time to get to you, just be patient.

I have been using Thinkpads for quite a few years, and it wasn't until a few weeks ago that I FINALLY got to have a new one....so believe me....I know about the patience that it takes...

Ok, so I just wanted to comment on the LCD being off centered, since it seems to be an issue that is popping up in the comments section of my two YouTube T61 videos.

At first, it was a little bothersome to see that the LCD was off-centered. But, I think that that was because it was different from what I was used to. I have now been using the T61 side by side with my R40 for the past 2 weeks, and you know what?!?!? I don't even notice it anymore.

The same thing could be applied to my R40 when I started using it...I was bothered by the notch in the back left corner of the system....but that no longer bothers me. As with anything...it just takes getting used to.

The only issue that I have so far is personal.....I miss WinXP on it. Vista still has a way to go, but I haven't been getting the BSODs that others claim to be getting.....then again I don't have the dock that seems to be causing most of the BSODs.

Sorry, believe I had typo, I am trying to find out if Vista runs well, how the peroformance is. I have ordered a T61 with Businees version, 2GB (1 dim) ram and the intel turbo memory, but there are alot of concerns with Vista performance.

I don't think that it is that thick...it is thinner than my R40. Besides, I wouldn't want it too thin...thinner means more chances of damaging/flexing the systemboard.

No problem...I just couldn't figure out exactly what you were asking, and I didn't want to ramble on forever, and bypass what you wanted to know...kind of like I am now... ;-)

Anyway, the performance is fine for Vista, on the T61. I do however, think that it still has a ways to go, before it will be as smooth as XP is.

Speaking of thickness, if you compare it with T60 or T4x series then you'll get to know who is the boss in this department...
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.
