Question about the Booq PowerSleeve

#1 Post by rocketman » Wed Oct 13, 2004 7:39 pm

I was going over the thread about cases for the T42 and noticed that alot of people are using the Booq PowerSleeve 14/15 and are happy with it. My question is if you were to drop it is there enough padding to protect the T42 from being damaged? I'd like to get a case that protects my T42 but one that isn't heavy.

Booq BP3 System

#2 Post by DiViNiTy » Wed Oct 13, 2004 7:55 pm

I too have been looking at Booq Bags for quite a while now but I can not seem to find anyone who has one so that I can get a review. I like the
BP3 System a lot and I like all the accesories that come with it, including the PowerSleeve 15. So, if anyone has this system or any other booq bag, what do you think?

Booq 14" sleeve

#3 Post by wanna_IBM » Wed Oct 13, 2004 8:09 pm

I have the 14" sleeve and really like it. I dont know what would happen if I dropped it as I have not intention on it but it is padded pretty good inside and not real bulky which I like to.

i have the powersleeve 14 and am satisfied. i have never dropped it and dont plan on it so i dont know how the portection would be, but i would assume its pretty good. obviously it matters on how hard you drop the laptop to estimate damage.

I have a PowerSleeve, and it's a great case. As far as drop protection though, while it may not get damaged, I wouldn't trust it. A Tom Bihn Brain Cell would offer more protection, for a straight down fall, beacuse of the "shock absorbing" thingie.

The Booq has good light padding for general use, but I'm not planning on dropping it.

I'd still highly recommend it though. It's a great case. Looks nice too.

I got the BP3 with powersleeve 14. excellent bag, comfortable, large, and looks nice. quality is quite good, not sure about durabiliy since I have it for only 2.5 months.

I just got my powersleeve 14 today! Perfect fit for t41. :D
There are padding all around and enough of it to take some hits. But I don't think it is a good idea to drop it.
