Buying IBM (Atheros) ABGN to replace my Intel 3945...

Do I need to buy additional antenna as well for the N? Or is it already installed on all models, so it is just a simple in-place upgrade?

Also, anyone added Bluetooth to their system as well?

It completely depends on what model you have. The later X60, X60s models and all X60t and X61t models have the third antenna cable.
X61t — Intel X25-M G2 160 GB SSD, 4.0 GiB RAM, Kubuntu GNU/Linux 10.10
T42p — 1.5 GiB RAM, Kubuntu GNU/Linux 8.04

Fantastic, my X60t should be all set then.

Thanks!

You may not want to take my word for it and double check--find your's machines model number (e.g. 1234-CTO) and look it up at Lenovo's support site. Look around for a bit and you should be able to find a parts manual. The parts manual will list whether a third-antenna is part of that model.
