T61 4:3 14.1" available for order!

#1 Post by Bigben » Thu Jun 14, 2007 3:18 pm

Found this link on the notebookreview.com forums.

Notice there are 2 SXGA+ 14.1" T61s available to order, both with integrated graphics. Maybe 4:3 on the Thinkpad isn't dead yet?

Wow - that's great news. I like the 4:3 profile better.

i am highly suspicious. Lenovo even changed their page to show they no longer have T61 14.1 4:3 screens. Even the sales rep I talked to a week ago told me he doesn't think they will make them.

I am not sure about the validity of that link however you'll definitely see T61 in 14.1 standard lcd screens.

well using IE7 it didn't give me any warning of a suspicious site or anything...

They even had a valid SSL from Thawte.com. I'm not buying any but i'd be careful anyways.

The T61 hardware maintenance manual definitely includes 4:3 aspect ratio displays (and dates to May 2007):
ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/pc/pccbbs/mo ... 2x3545.pdf

Also, this describes 8895 models, as also referenced in the original poster's link.
X220 (4287-2W5, Windows 8 Pro) / X31 (2672-CXU, XP Pro) / X61s (7668-CTO, Windows 8 Pro)
