Battery Buying from BatteryRefill
I was wondering if anyone had ever price-matched BatteryRefill. They say on their F.A.Q. page that they will not only match, but reduce their price by 10% if one finds a cheaper price.
I am in the market for a battery, and so looked on Pricewatch for any coupons BatteryRefill might have placed there. I found cheaper batteries though, like from TitanNotebook.com, which are $40.50 AFTER shipping. Being on a budget and all, I was wondering if the Price-Matching actually worked, or if it was some slick marketing scam.
If price-matching doesn't work, would it be worth it to order from somewhere like TitanNotebook or SimpleMicro? I just want 2.5 hour battery life, instead of 40 minutes.

I'm in the hunt for the same battery. I have purchased thru batteryrefill and the finishing of the battery was unimpressive!! Has anyone else have any experience with these new people?? They also don't say anything about sending in a core.

I've also used batteryrefill -- several times, including once recently for an UltraslimBay Secondary Battery.vanaya wrote:I have purchased thru batteryrefill and the finishing of the battery was unimpressive!!
I've been pleased with the power and charging results of the refilled batteries. I've not been as disappointed as Vanaya with the "finishing" of the batteries, but that is probably a question of taste. In my cases, the glue holding the two sides of the battery together is indeed a bit messy and obvious all along the seam, but when the batteries are installed in the Thinkpad 600 those seams are not visible -- so it doesn't really matter to me.
I cannot speak to the question of price matching and have no idea how that works with batteryrefill.

Its not really a big deal on the finishing of the 600, since it doesn't have rubber feet like the T-series and R-series. The battery that was sent was lopsided. The latch kept it firmly in place, but it was not even.

My first battery from refil.com was in pretty bad shape. The seam was split and there was a 1/2" gap on one side. I contacted them and they promptly sent me out a new one and I returned the first one with my old core. The finish is very poor, but as mentioned, its whats inside that coults. I get 2 to 2 1/2 hours out of each charge.

battery refill
I bought two batteries from battery refill and they are operating in my old thinkpad 600. They last 2 hours and a half, each. I had to exchange the first I bought because it died one year later and a bit more than warranty time. They did it without any $. They a have a very good service and pwer of batteru is 25% more than initial battery.
So it is much better and cheaper than the four batteries I bought before. Yes you can see the glue on both sides but not a problem..

THINKPAD 600 160 M 40 GO W2000 Battery refill
I purchased a rebuilt main battery from batteryrefill in late 2005 for my Thinkpad 600. I have been using it almost daily since then, and only about May 2007 did I feel the need for a replacement (battery life had deteriorated to about 25 minutes.) I am now on the new main battery for about a month, and quite pleased. In both cases, it took a while (a couple of weeks, as I recall), but they've always delivered, and they've always answered questions by phone when asked. As an aside, I've had two batteries from HP Omnibook 800CT/166 rebuilt, both with excellent results. I agree that the glue reassembly isn't "as new", but from a practical point of view it's not been a problem, and I'll certainly return to them again in the future.

Since you're located in Paris, I'd like to know if you found the $10 flat rate international shipping satisfactory, how long it took from the USA, and whether you had to pay shipping both ways when you bought the batteries (did you exchange your old ones?) and returned the defective battery on warranty. Did you have to pay any customs fees?Jald: I bought two batteries from battery refill and they are operating in my old thinkpad 600.
The high shipping prices are generally what kills international orders, and if this is an exception, it would be worth knowing.
