warranty work directly to Lenovo Raleigh facility?

My t42p needs warranty repair and I live in Raleigh where Lenova facility is that seems to get some laptops after escalated complaints about bad Easyserve service. There are some local IBM business partners where I am thinking of taking it rather than risk easyserve, but I am wondering if I could go directly to the lenova repair facility which does seem to fix the problems. Would appreciate any ideas/thoughts/suggestions.

(Problems noted with easyserve are disappointing. Some of the actions seem to border on fraud. NY atty general is going after Dell over warranty complaints. Would be worth documenting and reporting to one's atty general's office. Hope I don't end in such a spot.)

Do appreciate all advice/knowledge here. (Using 600e and t23 as backups for now, which have had no problems from.)

IMHO, you've basically answered your own question - " that seems to get some laptops after escalated complaints about bad Easyserve service". I think you have to at least give Easyserve a chance to fix it before anyone will listen to an escalation to have it repaired elsewhere. Try this, contact the main repair number and ask to speak to a supervisor, ask him/her the same question.
