"Display Cannot Switch to Secondary Landscape" - A

#1 Post by aphex » Tue Jun 19, 2007 12:20 am

When using auto rotate, when i flip my laptop into secondary landscape, i get the aformentioned error message and the screen does not flip into the correct orientation.

If i press the rotate button, it flips into secondary landscape just fine. Tried calibrating the auto rotate, no luck.

Any ideas?

The only issues I had with it was it would take so long to switch I finally just turned off auto rotate. Now every time I wake it up or boot it in tablet mode, it tries to go into Primary Portrait. I just want it to stay in Primary landscape 98% of the time.

So do you work there?

LOL no, but it's like 5 minutes from my work/home. It is one of the largest tourist attractions in town, besides tubing down the rivers.

I wonder if anyone figured out a solution to this problem.

My friend's X61t had this problem. I forgot whether it had it while it was using Vista or WinXP Tablet, but now I've installed WinXP Tablet edition onto it and the problem went away.

I have another problem now, and that is whenever I switch it to tablet mode, I can't get it to orient to "Secondary Landscape" mode immediately. It always starts with "Primary Portrait", then I would have to rotate it at least once to get it to what I want.
