google check

#1 Post by savarin » Wed Jun 20, 2007 7:30 am

Sorry, I do not know in which forum to ask.

I have only virtual card, MasterCard, no plastic. Most sellers know it, sometimes I have problems. F.e. when I subscribed on ebay.com they did not know it, on ebay.co.uk they did (in 2005).

And now I'd like to buy a TP from seller thinkpadworld. I am able to fill in all columnes in their form for paying via card except "toll free number on back of card". Virtual card and its back?
They mailed me they could send me google check (or google invoice).
I saw these words for the first time.
I found this page:
https://checkout.google.com/buyer/tour.html
and others.

Please - have you some experiences with it? Is it safe?
It is another place where number of my card will be saved and I do not know guard. Yes, I am paranoic.

Don't know about Google Checkout, but you could perhaps try and join BIDPAY instead of PayPal?

Miroslav, you have a PM. Please be carefeul about the ebay seller thinkpadworld, there are a few posts that say they are not good sellers, and there are a few posts that say they are good sellers. Do your reserach about them before you buy!!

Bill, you are an ideal seller..:-).
But majority of USA and Canada sellers on eBay refuse PayPal from "international" buyers.
That is why I am happy if I find someone who accept cards at least.

And thank all for warning. This seller has so big positive feedback ...

We have nothing against thinkpadworld but as fellow members it's our responsibility to warn you about potential bad experience from the seller.

Take a look at these: (experiences from the buyers who bought from thinkpadworld).

Just search around this forum, I am sure you'll come across many more threads. If you want a good thinkpad in exchange of your money, don't buy from thinkpadworld, however you're the decision maker, we are here just to advise you.
