Warranty Service is Amazing!!!

#1 Post by Slashdot » Wed Jun 20, 2007 11:49 am

My Thinkpad X series came in the mail on Monday. After charging the battery (8-cell) for 12 hours, I noticed that it wasn't holding a charge. I called the service department the next day at 6:00 am to file a warranty claim. The representatives were extremely friendly and helpful. I was told that my new battery would arrive in 2 business days. I was very doubtful since it took 4 weeks for my laptop to be delivered. Anyway, my new battery arrived the next day, Wednesday, at 8:00 am. Very, very impressive. It only took 26 hours for me to receive my replacement battery (shipped from PA to CA via DHL express).

I know a lot of folks are complaining about Lenovo customer service, but honestly, I was quite satisfied. I just wanted everyone to know that if you have a battery issue, your warranty be met very quickly and professionally.

BTW, I have the regular depot warranty that came with my laptop...nothing extra.

I always get delighted to satisfied customers of lenovo.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

The 8 cell that I had with my X60s was defective. They asked no questions and they sent me a new one in days. Very happy.

Yes, of course. They provided a return label. You have to call DHL to schedule a pickup. Mine was picked up 1 hour after I called.

Their warranty service is good - when they fix your computer. I'll be sending mine back Monday or Tuesday to have them try to fix a keyboard problem I've been having. I just got it back today and the problem still exists (after I sent it back Wednesday).
