Any Star Wars fans in here??

#1 Post by SaberX » Wed Jun 20, 2007 3:09 pm

I have this paper book here that i'm trying to find the value of.But i cant find anything on e-bay or online about it.
Back in 1999 when the very first Episode 1 come out.Where i'm in St John's Nefouundland We have a time zone just for us.So the day starts here first. But anywhay on the day the movie was released the movie theater here had a showing of the movie at 12:01AM on the day it was relaced.I was # 3 inline to get in.
But the first 100 people got a very nice hard paper book about the whole making of the movie. The book is 11" wide and 14" high with about 50 pages in it.It's full color and the cover has "Star wars Episode 1 The Phantom Menace" is raized lettering.Like it was stamped out.

I went back and saw the movie the 2nd time the next day and there was alot of people looking to buy the book.

I have looked all over the internet trying to find what it's worth.
From what i can find out there was 100 copys giving to people in diffrence citys for the very first showing.
I dont have my digital cam here to take pic's eather.
The book was printed in Toronto Canada.

SO any star wars fans out there that might know something?

Thanks
So it looks like it's only $15.00usd.
Might as well put it up in the for sale section for $5.00 + shipping.

Or you could hold onto it, until after they finally release all 6 movies in a 6-pack, which will reinstill the interest in the series....

Or even better...wait a few more years, and let it really become a collectors item...

(Didn't realize you are a Robot Chicken viewer  ).

I'm not normally (although, anything re Seth Green, really - I was a BtVS fan), but I had seen the clip of Darth Vader's call to Palantine and had to see the rest.

Yes. It was hilarious!! "Are you going to give me a loan? You have an ATM in that torso light-brite of yours?!"

As far as the book is concerned, if you can take it to a book dealer and see what they say as far as value, you can at least go from there.
