Slow Boot up

Hi, well my new T60p is a week old, and the only complaint that I have is that it takes up to ten minuets for it to start up, while checking the status of the embedded security chip. Is this normal? And how can I get it to start up faster?

I also have the finger print reader set up, but still have to input a password to log on. Is there any way to disable having to input the account password? Its kinda pointless to do that as well as swipe my finger. Thanks
