Cables for DC (auto) power supply

#1 Post by RobertJohnB » Fri Jun 22, 2007 8:56 pm

Does anyone have schematic diagrams for IBM's DC Power Supply for ThinkPad 600x? I have the IBM transformer (12VDC that will step up to the 16VDC needed by my ThinkPad.) However I need to fabricate the cables. I have tried to find them, but to no avail. It probably does not help that I am cheap (frugal).

When you say "cables", which one(s) are you referring to? The cable from the car's cigarette lighter into the adapter or the DC power cable going to the laptop (with the yellow coaxial plug)?

Also, what is the part number (FRU) of the DC power adapter? I have a couple of 72 watt bricks (22P9003 I think) and can figure out which pins on the adapter requires the car's 12VDC input. As far as the 16VDC being supplied to the laptop, the positive side is connected to the center conductor of the coaxial plug.
