Warrany use (advice needed)

Hi I have an offer t43 2668CTO for about 600$ but that man told me that he gets it as a gift so he dont have any paperes or so with it, therefore its not in warranty. But when i looked up his serial on IBM site it said:

Warranty status | Expiration date | Location
In warranty | 2009-03-03 | AUSTRIA

So do I need something if i wanna apply my warranty? Or i just bring my book to lenovo?
Also is there any problem with IWS? Because iam from slovakia and machine is from austria so i dunno..

Please if you know something, give me an answer, i have sale pendding..
