T41P: Port Replicator 2 and 9 cell battery compatible?

Hi
Was wondering if the port replicator 2 is ok to use with the 9 cell battery.
I would imagine the battery gets in the way and I require a standard batt
Can anybody enlighten me

There is a spring loaded flap on the dock and PR that moves in order to accomodate the 9 cell battery. Watch the movie:
