Why is NHC on dynamic switching forcing Max CPU speed on AC?

im sick and tired of my thinpad, ive been tweaking this t60p for way to long and im at the point where i hope it will melt down for all i care! why on earth are my stupid stupid pc forcing 2.13 ghz in idling mode when the sheme is set to "dynamic switching"???

the [censored] goes from cpu temp 49 t0 around 70 due to this ¤%¤&¤#%¤

seriously, im trading my way to exspenciv t60p with a dell 420 if any should be interested,

Without more information (what is running, what your CPU utilization is, what you set your NHC thresholds to) it's really not possible to tell.

But if you have already decided to switch to Dell, I guess you are not really looking for an answer anyway.

Hmm... not sure whether your post is a statement of abandonment, or a request for help.

Most likely, IBM's power-management utilities are managing it for you. In NHC, it will automatically adopt any third-party power schemes, which can be changed in the profile drop-down box. I assume this is what is happening...
