Well, the guy came out, I left him alone to do his thing, he didn't ask me anything -- so, hey, don't ask, don't tell. He replaced the mainboard, ribbon, inverter and LCD, I said thanks, he left, thre machine booted up beautifully, and...

I discovered that he'd replaced my SXGA screen with an XGA. So I called Atlanta, and they're sending out yet another screen, cable and inverter, with another (or possibly the same) tech, tomorrow.

Still, I can't complain. Thanks, all, for your support.
