As you can see I got the L7500 and UltraLight Screen, and atheros a/b/g card.

I didn't want the 2x3 UltraConnect Antenna so I tried to call in and see if I can get rid of that part on my order but they said no.

Since I don't have the Cingular or Verizon thing nor N-band wireless, what is the antenna for? Can I later upgrade to N-band wireless card if needed and make use of it?

The 2x3 UltraConnect antenna is for 802.11n (aka wireless-N).

thanks for the reply

so if i don't have n wireless it's useless?

And I thought that WiFi antennas are built-in inside the laptops, and the external antenna is for Mobile Broadband, is this ultraConnect antenna the internal or external antenna?

I also had your questions a few days ago.
I called the lenovo sales rep and messaged someone on this forum.

The conclusion is the antenna is internal. So do not worry about it. Only the wwan antenna is external.
