T60p with 10.4.8 upgrade?

Hey guys,

i have a t60p 2623 DDU currently with what I feel is a good working copy of 10.4.8...only wireless does not work.

My question is it worth it to try and upgrade to 10.4.9 or higher and if so is there a write up somewhere that explains the process. I have found write ups in other places and I am using the JAS install which they listed as not known to work, but I have seen other places that say it has been updated.

If anyone could offer any suggestions I would be most appreciative.
