Thanks - I've already had one Nigerian scammer try to take it on eBay, but he/she unregistered themselves after sending their long winded "hello, I'm wanting to ship it to Nigeria" email; so I was able to get the final value fee refunded, and have now applied buyer restrictions properly.

How much did your parts cost you all up? I had considered at least the CPU upgrade for the T40, but when this T42 came up I couldn't resist a laptop upgrade. The Flexview SXGA+ is pure joy to use!

Costs?. OK here goes. (Includes shipping)

Keyboard - free

Palm Rest - Free

7K100 - $115.28

Atheros b/g MPCI Wireless Card - $36.33

Modem/Bluetooth Daughter Card Part - $23.67

IBM ThinkPad T41 Indicator LED (Clear) Plate with Bluetooth - $10.45

1.8GB Dothan CPU Part# SL7EN - $84.55

Infineon 512MB PC2700 SODIMM memory - $31.94

Total = $302.22
Machine Cost - $426

Total investment - $728.22

Anyone want to make an offer? :) I will be offsetting part of the costs from the sale of the old Banias 1.6, MPCI and CDC cards, and an 80GB hard 5400 hard drive. I reused the long fan because the machine already had one, but I'd add the cost of a long fan (20 to 30 dollars) if you don't have one.
