Thinkpad R51 and triple monitors

#1 Post by Annorax » Fri Jun 29, 2007 1:49 pm

Hi everyone:

I have a Thinkpad R51, Windows XP Pro, and a docking station. I normally have 1 external monitor hooked up to the docking station so I have 2 monitors total. I recently got another monitor and I was wondering if it's possible to hook it up to the VGA port on the laptop and have it work as a triple monitor. I have hooked it up and monitors 2 and 3 show the same thing.

The docking station has a DVI port and so does the monitor; would using that achieve three separate monitors?

Thanks for any help. :)

AFAIR, Matrox has a device that splits the output to two monitors.
