Active protection Has ABNORMAL SENSOR Reading

#1 Post by Rwang » Sat Jun 30, 2007 1:37 pm

The active protection is complaining that there is abnormal sensor reading and shows disabled. It asks me to run a PC DOCTOR DOS - HDD Active Protection test.

Has anyone encountered this issue before? Is it a software problem or is it hardware failure?

Did you install a new IDE/SATA driver? Try reverting to original driver. I got the same thing when I updated my SATA driver with the latest from intel. I had to go to Lenovo and get the driver and reinstall it.

naw you dont even need to do all that.. just restart and the problem should go away.
