Running the new Freespire (version 2) on a T23

I've been using Freespire v.1 on my T23 with great success, but I can't get the built-in modem to be recognized with the newer version (2). I also tried using a PCMCIA modem without any luck. Anyone else have this problem?

T61's: 6460-08U, 6460-07u, 6457-6DU
T601: 6463-W34
DualBooting Win-10/Mint Rosa

card itself is in full working condition, it's the standard MXM size GTX 1060 pulled from MSI laptop, selling cos there's no way to put it on M6700...
