Anyone know what could be the reason behind this?
You know, when you start a Thinkpad up, the fan does a swift acceleration right before starting Windows. Well, my laptop doesn't do that anymore. It's (according to Thinkpad fan control tool) spinning around 2.8k all the time, and when I use CPU (or GPU) intensive programs, they are heating up to dangerous levels.
Also I tried to manually speed up the fan with the fan control tool, but it didn't do a thing? I mean, the program said that the command was ok, but the fan just kept running on the same speed.
T42 overheating because of slow fan speed
