UltraNav driver vs. UltraNav utility?

Whats the difference between:

The UltraNav driver

and the

The UltraNav utility

do I need both?

well you don't need the ultranav utility but if you want to use it you have to install the driver too:

NOTES

- ThinkPad UltraNav Driver or ThinkPad UltraNav Driver 2 must be
installed as well as this package.

The driver adds the option to allow using the side of the UltraNav to scroll thru documents. The default Windows one works but doesn't have that as well as the "Zones" features and other lil tricks.

On that note tho, i have no idea what the utility does....
