Power adapters Question for T61

Lke to know whether is it okay to use T42 power adapter on a T61 and vice versa? are they compatible and even if it works, will it spoils the laptops?

The plug is different, it won't fit. Even if it did the voltage and amperage is not the same either.
T60 2623-D7U, 3 GB Ram.
Dual boot XP and Linux Mint.
