Cannot eject from Ultrabase

#1 Post by krypticide » Sun Jul 08, 2007 6:48 pm

I just got a new X61 tablet, and can't get the Ultrabase to eject cleanly. Whenever I push the eject button, or use EasyEject, or use Undock from the Start menu, I keep getting error messages. First my iPod says some program is using it, then my Logitech wireless sound transmitter gives me the same message.

What I've been doing is just suspending the tablet, then removing it despite the Ultrabase's beeps of warning. What's going on?

This problem still occurs under Vista SP1. The culprits vary from the optical drive to the external drives these days, typically.

Hi, I have the same problem, but only if I boot while docked. When the boot process runs when removed from dock, the docking and undocking then work fine. But I don´t know the "root cause".

Interesting finding! I will give it a try.

If you boot while undocked, can you continue to dock and undock as long as you don't reboot while docked, or does it only work once?
