#1 Post by mario_jr » Mon Jul 09, 2007 3:16 pm

Well.. couple of months ago.. I killed my t60 trying to update its bios. Now I have a brand new motherboard and the old one.. Is there any chance to reflash the old one..( no post .. no beeps. nothing)?

Thanks.

Sure, there are companies that do it for you or if you have some basic soldering skills you can replace your CMOS/BIOS chip.

I think I can handle that soltering .. there is an issue.. where can I get a working CMOS/BIOS?
Is there any feature in the t60 motherboard that could help to reflash .. like an automatic copy BIOS image from disk. or somenthing like that.
Thanks ! :)

I retract my statement above. I answered too quickly. I was thinking about the BIOS Password Security Chip and not the CMOS itself. I don't know how to replace a bad CMOS chip on a T60 system board.
