T60 more silent with s-ata enabled in bios(?)

#1 Post by propellen » Tue Jul 10, 2007 2:09 pm

Hi,

My T60 became much more silent (in WinXP) when I enabled s-ata hdd support in bios.
Is this just a lucky shot, or is the Power Management Driver written for s-ata prior to compatibility mode?

:D
Thanks.

Sounds like the noise profiles aren't enabled in compatibility mode?
