Can't create Recovery CD
Can't create Recovery CD
Hallo,
I just received my new T42p 2373-HTG (English preload) and I tried to
build the Recovery CD set with the menu link provided.
After a while the program (a python script, I think) tells me something like: "Internal error occurred. Process stopped"
and that's it.
Any hint to build the CDs?
I installed the MS Visual Studio .NET 2003; maybe they are not compatible?
Do you think that if I restore the factory status with the Access button during the startup I will be able to make the CDs?
Thanks in advance, C.

Hallo,
my problem is that the program stops after a while and NO (or zero) recovery disks are created. Yesterday I restored the factory status with the Access IBM but the recovery disk procedure does not work.
Any hints on it?
Moreover, while acceding to the hidden partition with Access IBM on startup I got a red msg box telling that "supportapi.log" is unreadable
or something like.
I hope you can help me.
(I created also a new thread on this matter)

craigr: can you explain how you created the recovery discs making them dvds instead of cdrs?
edit: do you have a dvd multi burner? im thinking the recovery program might limit you to what type of media you can create.
if so that sucks because i have a dvd burner in my desktop and would like to make dvdr recovery discs but dont want to fork out for a dvd burner for my TP..
