Memory Question

#1 Post by proaudioguy » Sat Jul 14, 2007 12:07 am

I was considering getting 4GB for the X60T. Will the PC5300 Ram I remove work in a machine designed for PC 2100? PC 2700 supposedly works so I was hoping to recycle this PC 5300 the same way. I understand it would not run full speed 667.

Where is a good deal on really good 3-4 GB dual channel PC5300 Kits? 2 x 1.5GB would be perfect.

DDR2 is not backward compatible with DDR, that's totally different technology.

I don't believe 1.5GB stick exists.....

You can try newegg, ebay or crucial.com to hunt for available good deals .
