Received my drives a few minutes ago. Very nicely done packing job; well protected, quickly shipped and also as previously mentioned, exactly described. One of the benefits (curses?) of having a number of systems to use as checkout machines, yields this picture:

Four T23s running the PC Doctor Fixed Disk diagnostics. All of these drives have now passed; the last drive will be tested in a little bit. Ignore the fifth system in the background. It's a T41 executing a battery rundown test.

Let me know if you change your mind about not shipping to Canada.

He stated on the previous page, that he was willing to ship to Canada for $4 first class postage. I think, but I could be wrong, that he meant that he would not ship overseas.

I also read what tfflivemb2 here refer to (and previously I also had the same belief), but yet the seller yesterday shipped four drives to me - and I am certainly quite "overseas"! The seller responded immediately, and had no hesitation in doing business with overseas customers, and was very fast too in shipping out the drives (they are now in the mail, somewhere). So far, an absolutely positive experience – including the absolutely attractive price! :-) First class - overseas! - marks to the seller!

Best regards,

Johan

Sorry for all the confusion about internationally shipping as I've just edited my post yesterday. I've only shipped two packages internationally in the past few day and that was alot for work. The idea of waiting in line at my local Post office has already goosebumps. Also, the main problem keeping me from dealing with international members is tracking option. I do not feel safe without knowing the status of delivery. As you can see, there seems to be some hassles involve with shipping internationally. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Happily understood - if it weren't for that I'd have definitely exchanged some money for a couple of the drives. Even with the anticipated shipping and handling costs that would be associated, I think that the total cost would easily be lower than what I could get 2 for here in Australia.

Received four of these bargain-drives today… in first class condition!

Inquired Wednesday/Thursday, received answer Thursday – with question from seller about preferred packaging/shipment method; after answering immediately received feedback incl. sales agreement; paid Friday, the seller shipped the drives out from Houston via USPS on Saturday, drives received here in Copenhagen/Denmark today, Tuesday. All I can say: Wow!! First class in all respects! Thanks, coolname1!

Absolute kudos to the seller! Very friendly and fast ”customer handling” (despite the troublesome fact that I, the buyer, is overseas and the seller thus had to go ”Goosebumps” at the local post office!). Furthermore, as per my request, the drives were shipped without neither tracking information, nor insurance (both to speed up shipment and delivery – and the sole responsibility being mine in the case of something going wrong or disappearing). The package went directly to my door – no delay by e.g. customs inspection :-) Packaging: Couldn’t have been more careful and protective! First of ’em being formatted right now – very, very low noise… almost inaudible!

Thanks, again, coolname1 for wanting to do business with overseas ThinkPad’ers… it is very much appreciated. All in all: A super bargain and an absolutely first-class experience to deal with this seller.

Best regards,

Johan - yet another happy customer...

Well, some good fellow in this forum who lives near a Post Office could do some package forwarding to other countries. I would be glad to pay for the service also.

Anyone? :)

I just received the drive and it works beautifully. Even with First Class Mail, it took only two days to get here. Thumbs up for both Coolname1 and USPS!
