T60 keyboard light question

When I use the keyboard light on my T60 it kind of shines in my face. I wonder if it is the designed behavior. I had a close look at the light mounting on top of the screen and it seems that something had moved inside it. Some kind of lens or cover. So is it normal, if not then is it difficult to fix or should I send it for repairs?

The 14" screen bezel has a shape that allows light to shine in your eyes. The 15" screen doesn't have this problem. I don't know about the widescreen versions.

I forgot to mention that the T60 in question is 15.4'' widescreen.
