3com XJACK card errors out in W2K (pic)

I have a 600X with me (specs in sig below), and I am having trouble using a 3com XJACK wireless b card with it. I downloaded the drivers available here:

The card attempts to connect, and the moment I retract the antenna, the system blue screens with an error in the WLPX96.EXE and attempts to dump the core. The sytem is unresponsive after this, and the only way to shut down is to pull off the power and unplug the battery.

The card works fine in my T60 and T22 (XP/ubuntu respectively) so the card is not at fault. Does anyone know why this happens, and what I should do to get my 3com card working with the 600X? Any help is greatly appreciated!

I got it to work properly ... apparently the driver here works:

Ah, I have more trouble ... I followed the following guide for configuring the wireless:

But I don't have the 'authentication' tab as shown in below figure:

I am running W2k SP4 ... someone please help me confugure wireless on this machine!
