Wireless adapter setting in Power Manager

#1 Post by skpsm » Thu Jul 19, 2007 2:30 pm

I changed the wireless adapter setting on the Power manager profile from "Maximum Power Saving" to "Maximum Performance". However when i restart the machine the setting goes back to "Maximum Power saving". Has anyone observed this ?

I also checked the Wireless adapter property in Device manager and the setting is disabled for "Windows automatically powers off this device".

are you using the power saving profile? You have to create a custom profile if you want to have options such as that i think or just use the built in Windows ones to manage that.

Yes, I created a new profile "My Balanced" in Thinkpad Power Manager utility to make modifications to the adapter setting.

Thanks a lot deeastman. It worked now. I updated the Access Connection to the latest version and it resolved the issue. The link which you sent explains the same issue in detail.
