Screen flashes during startup

I have a T60 with integrated graphics running Windows XP SP2.

Every time I start up, just after getting to the desktop, my screen will flash to black and then flash back and then it finishes starting up. I'm thinking it has to do with a screen setting somewhere but after looking around I can't seem to find where. Has this happened to anyone else before?

I get that on my T60 running Vista.
It sucks.

yes,
well i supposed Intel graphic card is the main clue to flash after starting up

I get it on my T60 when I start Vista too, and I've got the ATI X1400 video chip.
