T41 Keyboard problem

#1 Post by getsandy » Fri Jul 20, 2007 9:40 am

Hi All,

My T41 Arrow Keys suddenly stopped working today evening.

Only the UP-Arrow key is working. All the other 3 Arrow keys are not working.

Anybody has faced similar problem?

Any solutions?

Thanks
Sandy

well i guess you can try pressing down hard (not break the thing tho) and then rock the key back and forth. I'm thinking something got underneath them and pressing hard will force the contact material to make contact. If that works you may juts need to clean the keyboard if not then try uninstalling it (doubt that'll do anything) and rebooting and let windows install it again. IF not then you can just buy another keyboard or if your system still has warranty then call up IBM :)

The most obvious solution is to pick up a new keyboard.
New:
Thinkpad T430s 8GB DDR3, 1600x900, 128GB + 250GB SSD's, etc.
Old:
E6520, Precision M4400, D630, Latitude E6520
ThinkPad Tablet 16GB 1838-22U
IBM Thinkpad X61T, T61, T43, X41T, T60, T41P, T42, T410, X301
