And of course, the misaligned stickers.

Here are some LCD comparison pictures. I got the Samsung WXGA+. The bluish tint doesn't bother me too much, but it's a bit dark and dull for me. I don't know if this is because it's the Samsung screen or because it's a laptop screen compared to desktop screens.

Left: Westinghouse 22"
Middle: T61
Right: Dell 2005FPW

The Dell screen has better colors than the Westinghouse.

Now I'm comparing colors between the T61 and the Dell.

Sweet!!!

However, I fail to see side viewing angle comparison with a color picture.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

Yeah, I forgot to do that. But side view angle is very good, imo, for a laptop. No worries about the side view angle at all. Vertical isn't as good, but it's fine as long as I can see the screen without any distortion.

I'm going to do a clean install with either XP Pro or Vista Ultimate.

Nice pictures. Thanks for posting.

Wondering which camera you used to take the snapshots?

Cheers

According to the EXIF data, it was a Canon PowerShot A610. Images were processed with Photoshop CS2 on Windows.
X220/IPS, T60p/IPS
