wireless networks and xp

#1 Post by mbpenterprises » Sat Jul 21, 2007 5:23 pm

Hey everyone I had just recently reformatted and installed windows xp performance edition, the real stripped down one, on the ibm t23. Since then my wireless has not been working. I was using the one built in to the lappy, it came with it when I bought it. I'm assuming it came normal on some of the t23's. Now under device manager there is a network controller unidentifed and I can not seem to find the drivers for it. Nor can I search for any wireless networks before as I used to previously before the complete clean. What can this be? I went to the ibm page and lenovo I believe it was to get the drivers. None of them seemed to work. I believe it's intel drivers I need i'm just not sure if that's the case and I wanted to double check and see if anyone else had this problem.

Thanks in advance!

Why not use the XP that came with your T23. The built-in wireless works with that. I had a T23 using the preload XP and the built-in wireless and it worked a treat. I sold it, and it remains working fine. There is nothing wrong with the preload on the T23 (at least the one I had). ... JDH

I only have the limited copy that's why, plus I can't sleep if I don't figure out the problem. Thanks for the quick reply! Any other comments please welcome!

Thank You!
