Thinkpads with the IPS Flexview screen's...

#1 Post by SaberX » Sat Jul 21, 2007 7:11 pm

OK i have done the serches on here and the web and "think" i found out the answer.BUT thought i would ask here anyway.
What model Thinkpads come with the IPS screen?
The first was the A31P.
Then i think it was the T41P.
Then the R50P.
Then the T60P.

Now was the IPS , flexview screens only in 15" UXGA(1600x1200)??
Can you get the IPS in SVGA+??

"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

Hope it helps.
Thanks , that does help alot.
So you can get the Flexview in 1400x1050 but only in 15"And the nice 1600x1200..Even the X41T , 12.1 XGA has the IPS screen.Nice.

I'm just getting info on system for my next thinkpad. And what ones to keep my eye out for.
So if i want to stay with the UXGA i'll have to get a A30P or the A31P for the faster video chip and cpu.Seems like the A31P is the next best thinkpad for me to upgrade from the A22P.

That page is correct, but a bit outdated. Namely, the X60 Tablet also has IPS(FFS) screens, both in XGA and SXGA+. Additionally, Lenovo has recently been known to use some IDTech UXGA panels on the T60p, instead of the BOE-Hydis panels (BOE went out of business and could no longer supply the parts).
