The Laptop has been re-imaged with the factory image. I have upgraded the Internal WiFi Card & hard drive. The laptop suffered from the failed video, so I replaced the system board at the beginning of July 2007 with a certified board directly from IBM. I have personally used the laptop for over 5 hours to make sure there is no hidden issues. The cover of this laptop has the typical wear for one of its age. There is the typical thinkpad keyboard marks on the screen that do not affect the image at all.

Under IBM warranty until mid August of 2007

All of these laptops I have personally spent a minimum of 5 hours of use to look for inconsistent quirks. I have an ebay rating of 99.8 with one issue a few years back for something stupid that I dont remember (you can look it up) I have over 611 transactions. I am a member of square trade and I can offer a warranty through them. You might also be able to get an extended IBM warranty on the t42 if you act quick.

I have not taken good pictures of these units yet, but can and will. I am not out to screw anyone on my deals. I do not offer any warranty on my deals due to being screwed too many times. My ebay rep backs up my word. All items will be double boxed and packed very securely to prevent any shipping damage. All shipments will be fully insured to the transaction value as well.

I have full gone thru these units and replaced boards when needed or any other small parts. I use a factory screw sets when replacing boards so that the nylon coating is intact on all of the screws. I work for HAL (Some of you older members will remember what this stands for and what company I work at. ) I take great pride in my reputation and work

Please drop me an email if you have any questions. I will have a few more of the t41's t42's and t40's.

Please note that none of the units I am selling have system boards that I have repaired. I do have an ad looking for some boards to try to repair, but have not started that yet. I do this as a hobby and would like to be able to repair component level at some point. All of the replacement boards that I got for the t41 t42's were direct from IBM Serve.

Have a good one

You might want to be real careful discussing password recovery on this forum. VERY sensitive subject.

I am interested in the T42. I am looking for a T41/p, T42/p, or T43/p.

You seem to have a positive attitude, and competitive prices. Next time, please include a link to your auctions, makes it easier for reading and likely more profitable for yourself...

As for password recovery service, I'd contact an Admin or a Moderator for a definite answer, but I believe that's a big "no-no" on this forum.

Good luck with the sale-these should fly away.

All the best.
