lower screen heating on T60

#1 Post by ducky2802 » Sun Jul 22, 2007 10:03 am

Hi everyone,

By chance, I just happen to poke the status bar on the LCD (the one with the green indicators and "Lenovo T60" logo). The whole area is very warm, if not pretty hot, compared to the rest of the laptop. Im wondering if this is something to be concerned about. Thanks!

It's the same on my X31 and on every other recent ThinkPad that I have checked.
X220 (4287-2W5, Windows 8 Pro) / X31 (2672-CXU, XP Pro) / X61s (7668-CTO, Windows 8 Pro)

This is the (undocumented) ThinkPad Screen Defogger. It's used for when we log on to some of those (ahem...) adult websites and start breathing a little heavily...
