Very high temperature on T60p

#1 Post by infilzw » Sun Jul 22, 2007 11:52 am

My T60p has a very high temperature nearly reach to 100°C ! :( when i run the game "Tomb Raider Anniversary". About 20 minutes after i load game, T60p will shut down directly causing by high temperature.
Is here someone has the same things happening? Or all of T60p have same performance?
Thanks for comment~

I was having the same problems, though the gpu temperature was hitting about 92/93 degrees before it shut down. Check your air vent on the side; is there a substantial amount of air being pushed out by the fan? For me at least, I noticed barely any air coming out when the fan was spinning at full speed so i removed the keyboard and used a can of compressed air to completely blow away the dust inside (just be careful of the fan itself when blowing it). There was about a years worth of dust in there limiting the air flow. Once that was removed, temperatures dropped back down.

Thanks for advice~
But I have clear up the fan few days ago and this "high temperature condition" only happening when I was playing "Tomb raider Anniversary". I also took some test by running "Need for speed : Carbon" and "Half life 2",the temperature only reach to the level form 75 to 82. Is this problem caused by the game(Tomb raider anniversary)?

It depends on the feaures used the games. Heavy shader process leads to much more heat then gentle texturing...
