Looks like a mind-blowing machine...I do hope that you put reserve on it, just to save your BIN option...

Best of luck with the sale.

for all those with questions,
the pictures on ebay don't look good at all, i am just not a good picture taker, if anyone has doubts I can email them full size (7MP) pictures.
It's hard to judge the battery, Windows tells me that it is at 100% of its capacity, just personally I don't trust windows.
For those who need to check on the warranty.

well there is no reserve price, I believe that there are so many people on ebay that it will sell for a just price no matter what.
I just posted it here, because I know that people on this message board look for used T-series in great condition...

You may not want to publish the serial number ... bad things have been known to happen with that information, .e.g. the laptop being reported stolen to Lenovo.

here is a bigger picture, just so you can see better...
If anyone wants a particular angle, let me know.
Also it doesn't include the fingerprint reader, some people asked this.

What's involved to add (integrated) wireless to this machine?

Anyone know whether there's an antenna for 802.11g already in these? (I don't see an antenna in the parts list, but I dont know if the list shows the antenna)

Says here it's wireless upgradeable, which means the antenna is already there ..

ALL T4x series have an antenna set included. After removing battery, drives and keyboard, you'd have to lift the palmrest and slip the card under the touchpad. The operation is going to be the same on any "wireless upgradeable" T4 or R5. Inserting cards in the back of the machine (much nicer solution if my opinion has any value) has died with T30...

As I've said once before, not a big deal, even for a newbie. One should eihter have a printout, or another computer screen open with instructions from IBM/Lenovo website, which are very easy to follow.

And this was a free bump for a great-looking machine along with answering the question!

I LOVE ThinkPads in mint condition, because I never preserve them that well (and yes, that's one of the reason why I change them so often...to prevent them from destruction)

everything said above is correct...the cards go between $15 and $30 on ebay...and the slot is called MiniPCI.

thanks for the comments on how good the laptop looks, that is the reason why Im selling it, I really don't use it a lot.

it looks like the price will be really low on ebay, so dont miss your chance to get a bargain here...I just took these pictures and couldnt believe how good the laptop looks, it could really pass as new, never used...I admit though that I used it...

one more thing,
is it safe to leave the Serial Number of the computer on here, or could somebody use that?

If anybody wants it to verify warranty, I'd ask for them to PM you...somebody could potentially get hold of it and report it stolen.

;-) If Ebay auctions in the States proceed like they do in Germany, the last few seconds will be the key. I've seen prices go up 20-100% in the last minute of bidding, so the auction's not over until it's over.

Yep, it's the same thing in the U.S. I always bid in the last 10 seconds, and wish everyone would do the same. People who bid early drive the prices up.
